Grids, VMs and blind idiots

I just read this blog by the tech team at NY Times. These guys are good. They used Amazon's EC2 and Hadoop to run a massive grid job - ..blogs.nytimes.com/..hadoop. Of course it's all Java. There's more of this kind of stuff in my previous blog: ..got-cache?
